Kafejnīca atrodas ceļa malā , braucot Rīga -Sigulda- Bērzukrogs. Porcijas lielas un gardas. Cenas adekvātas. piedevas ar salātiem arī ir iekļauti cenā,bet salātus paši var izvēlēties. Atsevišķi no bāra stāv neliela vitrīna ar 3 veidu svaigiem salātiem ,marinētiem sīpoliem. Respektīvi pats vari noteikt kādus salātus ēdīsi klāt

Quite simply of the finest karbonades I have ever been fortunate enough to enjoy. Though the place itself is quaint and unassuming, the food served up is anything but. Each serving comes with a generous side serving - in my case, homemade chips, which promised and indeed delivered that perfect marriage of crispy coating and delicate fluffy filling. A self-service salad bar allows the diner to choose their desired amounts of carrots or cabbage. Squeezable condiments are provided without restriction which will no doubt appeal to those amongst you who prefer their meals to swim in ketchup or drown in mayonnaise. Now, for the main event. The karbonade itself is a mighty beast, comfortably covering a good half of the plate or more. Like everything, a good Karbonade is about balance - as a meal, it epitomizes man’s eternal struggle to find the optimum combination of meat, cheese, egg and more cheese. In this case, it was clear that sincere time and effort had been invested into ensuring the most mathematically optimum quantities of each. Much like a master painter arranges his palette, our chef had evidently spent years working tirelessly in his/her quest to create something exceptional for the common diner. The result? Texture, taste...the full works. It was a symphony in flavour, a succinct distillation of what Karbonade should be. Though the portion was sizable, nothing remained on any of the five plates that were brought to our table. We had entered tired, hungry and with nothing in the way of expectation; we left energised, content and indeed remarkably fresh, having each consumed enough calories to sedate a small horse. 10/10 would highly recommend. There might be a day when I am fortunate enough to enjoy a superior karbonade and then again, that day might never come. Should the latter be the case, I will not weep, for I am content in the knowledge that the karbonade I enjoyed that fateful day was as good as I could ever hope to taste.
